Adeline (Sanctis) Lawson

d. May 16, 2024

ADELINE (SANCTIS) LAWSON, affectionately known as "Addie", passed away quietly on May 16, 2024 at her home in Cochan Hall, Scott Township. She was 94.

Addie was the beloved wife of the late Edward P. Lawson whom she met in Pittsburgh. They were married in Pittsburgh in 1969.

Addie worked in Pittsburgh as an Executive Secretary for the United Steelworkers of America, enjoying the challenges, travel and organizational opportunities because of her natural attention to detail.

Supporting Ed in his career, she also lived in various states throughout the country including New York, North Carolina, Colorado and Florida. Eventually she returned to Pennsylvania. Each new home gave her the opportunity to use her tasteful decorating skills, while making lasting friendships along the way.

Addie treasured her family and friends joining them for holidays and special events. Whether cooking Italian favorites or bringing her famous cookies, she loved entertaining. This gift was especially appreciated as she
planned & organized the annual Christmas party for her Cochran Hall friends.

Adeline is survived by her sisters: Rose Marie Seach and Toni D'Alessandro, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews, and she will be very much missed by all.

A Mass of Christian burial will be offered on Thursday June 20th, 10:00 a.m. at Saints Simon & Jude Church of the Parish of Saint Raphael the Archangel. Visitation starts at 9:00 a.m in the Church Hall. Burial is private at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
